The Computer Engineering course bridges the gap between Hardware and Software by providing a solid foundation in both and tying the disciplines together with a curriculum that has intensive classrooms and laboratory components.The addition and multiplication of equipments and the facilities-utilities in this department are always with the latest and last entrant into the market. The department is having well equipped laboratories to provide hands on experience and to keep pace with current and changing technologies.
Sindhudurg Shikshan Pasarak Mandal's College of Engineering  has state of the Advance Computing Centre consisting of six laboratories, over 100 personal computers of latest configuration (having Pentium IV machines), have been networked on Windows XP & LINUX Platform using latest branded Machines as servers. Internet facility is available for whole day with multimedia computer systems. Some of the latest softwares available in the institution are Oracle 10G, Visual Studio.Net, Visual Basic 6.0, SQL Servers 2000, Office XP, JAVA & MATLAB.

SERVER ROOM:

A well established Network under the control of high potential servers is a backbone to achieve the goals. Server side software’s like LINUX server, Small business server, Proxy server, Database server, Antivirus solutions like Trend Micro provides the support to the Administration along with the high end servers in the Server Room. We have separate labs like Advanced Software Labs, Application Development Labs, Hardware Labs to provide different platforms for variety of streams in computer field.

General Software Lab is developed in such a way that students can function effectively in program analysis, program design, coding, project management and other software based fields. To support the task software’s like Rational Suit from IBM-Rational, Visual Studio, Borland C++ are installed in the Labs.
