OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
The
department of ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING has well equipped laboratories
with synergetic team of experienced and energetic teaching and supporting
staff. Number of activities are undertaken by the department to develop
professional attitude and personality of individual student. The department
provides full-fledged support to Mechanical, Electronic and telecommunication
and computer department.
BASIC
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING LABORATORY: This Lab is exclusively used for conducting practicals
for students of First year engineering .The lab has
all the resources which give an insight in the field of
electrical engineering. It promotes students to
develop keen interest towards electrical engineering.
Electrical
Machines I/II Laboratory:This lab is equipped with DC Motors ,Induction Motors ,Synchronous Motors and Motor Generator sets. This lab has all the metering and performance monitoring equipments which enable the students to test and study the machine characteristics.All these machines are purchased from standard manufacturers and are of industry standard.
Principles Of Control Systems Laboratory:This lab is equipped with basic control systemelements like
i. Stepper motor control
ii.synchro transmitter & receiver
iii. Calculation of transfer function by simulation and by calculation
EMMI LABORATORY: i.Different measuring instruments like wattmeter,Ammeter, Voltmeter, Digital Voltmeter,
ii. Different types of AC & DC bridges.
iii. Different types of tranducers like LVDT, thermocouples, Bellows etc.
Electrical
Network, Design & Project Lab:This Laboratory is equipped with 5 P-IV Computers on which Network simulation package. PSpICE & Matlab have been installed. Students get benefit to develop their programs for simulating, synthesing & for the subject of electrical network., which is a part of their syllabus of semester-III prescribed by Mumbai University.Whereas the higher semester students use this lab for project undertaking & project implementation.
Power
ElectronicsLaboratory : Power electronics is the heart of almost all modern Power Controlled equipment like UPs, Battery Charger, Electric vehicle, Elevator, HVDC, Blower,Craner,Computer etc. Power Electronic laboratory is well equipped with number of power Electronic devices such as SCR, Triac,DiAC & its characteristics. Also with many types of Power Electronic ckts like controlled rectifier, ac voltage controller and dc chopper etc.
